Last night I watched Life of Pi and still my mind is in the movie. It is a
movie that everyone will find something for them. You never know what I am
talking about unless you will watch it. I asked my family and friends what they
perceive from the movie and they all have different answers. It is the first
story I have seen with that much possible endings.
Let me start with myself. When it ended I want to know the meaning behind
Pi's line, “And so it is with God". The first meaning that came into my
mind was he is telling that believing the unbelievable is the case with God. We
don’t see Him but He give us hope in our difficult times. But still my mind was
not satisfied.
I asked my friend to explain the end to me. She said that the second
story of Pi is true actually. The tiger was Pi himself. He didn't accept all
the man's cruelty so he made a character in mind which helps him to survive all
along. Ok, it seems meaningful too.
It is true the more pious you are the more good you see. My brother gave a
very good and unique explanation of the movie. He said, "Pi was God and
Tiger was a human". I asked him to explain, he said the writer has tried
to show the man's relation with God. When we are in trouble God is always here
to help us, like Pi was there for Richard Parker, he fed him, he took care of
him but when all the misery is gone at the Mexican beach, Richard parker didn't
even look back to thank him. That’s what we do. God helps us but in return we
walked away when everything is back to normal.
It is a great movie to watch. Watch and share what is your end...
